What is EasyKara?
EasyKara is a free, browser-based karaoke video maker that lets anyone sync lyrics to a song word-by-word and export a karaoke video, subtitle file, or lyric-sync project — no software install and no video-editing experience required.
Press Space in time with the music to stamp each syllable, fine-tune timing on a waveform timeline, then style and export. EasyKara runs entirely in your browser (a free desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux adds YouTube import, custom fonts and hardware-accelerated video export), so the same project opens the same way on any computer.

Yes. The core editor — word-by-word sync, the waveform timeline, sweep-style preview and rendering, and MP4 export at 60fps — is free with no account required. A Pro plan unlocks transparent (alpha-channel) video export and subtitle downloads (.lrc/.srt/.ass).
Do I need to install anything?
No. EasyKara runs in your browser at easykara.com/editor. A free desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux is also available if you want YouTube import, custom fonts, or hardware-accelerated exports.
What audio and lyric formats does EasyKara support?
Upload common audio or video files (MP3, WAV, MP4, and similar) and paste in plain-text lyrics, or import a .srt/.vtt subtitle file. Verse breaks and bilingual lyrics are supported out of the box.
Can I export a finished karaoke video, not just subtitles?
Yes. Export a fully rendered MP4 with the neon sweep lyric animation baked in, or export .lrc/.srt/.ass subtitle files to use with your own player.
How accurate is the word-by-word syncing?
Timing is stamped live as you press Space along with the music, then adjustable to the millisecond afterward on the waveform timeline — so accuracy depends on your ear, not a fixed grid.
What's different about the desktop app?
The desktop app adds YouTube import (video, audio, and subtitles), custom font uploads, and a hardware-accelerated native export pipeline for faster rendering, on top of everything the web editor already does.
Can I use EasyKara for cover songs?
Yes, EasyKara only syncs and renders lyric timing for a track you provide — you're responsible for having the rights to the underlying song and lyrics you sync and share.
Does EasyKara support languages other than English?
The editor interface is available in multiple languages, and bilingual lyric sync lets you sync one language while displaying a translation line underneath — useful for covers and language-learning content.
Is there a mobile app?
