Changelog
New features and fixes, release by release.
v1.6.5
October 27, 2026
- Cut any word into separately timed pieces: type a visible · in the lyrics box (Ctrl+. inserts it) or use the block editor, and each piece is synced on its own while the word still looks whole.
- A new button copies an AI prompt that splits your lyrics into syllables; paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, then paste the answer back. Clean lyrics now keeps splits you made between two letters.
- Export subtitles as WebVTT and TTML on web, desktop and Android.
- The Auto resolution is replaced by a 720p option, and exports now default to 1080p.
- A new video encoder dropdown on web lets you pick Auto, Hardware or Software.
- When the app is out of date, starting an export now asks you to reload first.
- If the browser's GPU process crashes during an export, you are now told instead of the export failing silently.
- An unreadable track no longer breaks an export: it is dropped, the dialog closes and the matching import slot is highlighted.
- Starting an export while another one is running now shows a message instead of silently switching to the slower legacy path.
- Fixed the live preview lyric layer crashing after a stale line selection.
- A new "What's new" bell on web and desktop, and a menu entry on Android, shows the latest updates and links to the Android blog post.
- Notifications now pause their countdown while you hover over them, and error messages stay for 8 seconds.
- Free tools are now at /tools on the web: Pitch Shifter, BPM Changer, Key & BPM Finder, Audio Cutter, Merge Audio, Extract Audio, Video Converter, LRC/SRT/VTT Converter and Tap Tempo. They run entirely in your browser.
- The version notice on the pricing page only shows in the editor, Pro users no longer see Buy buttons on pricing cards, and the About window no longer has a donate section.
- Android adds a split-mark button, shows lyric counts in the tab header, gets a tools hub in the editor menu, invites Android browsers to the closed test, and no longer fails to publish an export when the file was lost.
v1.6.4
October 18, 2026
- The app is now available in Thai, Lao, Khmer, Burmese, Tibetan, Hindi, French, German, and Italian.
- Choose where the sweep runs with sweep regions, and set how lines outside a region look while they wait.
- The new Settings window brings the light and dark theme, the option to restore your last session, and a reset back to a fresh start.
- Lyric rows now show a countdown badge, so you can see the lead-in before each line at a glance.
- Sample backgrounds can be shown or hidden with a single toggle.
- After a reload, your project comes back and asks you to upload your media files again; the matching video or audio import strip glows so you know where to drop each file.
- Export now falls back to VP9 or AV1 when your browser has no H.264 encoder.
- Fixed the live preview failing to load on older Safari versions.
- The Android app gains a block editor for Thai, Lao, Khmer, Burmese, and Tibetan, an identical audio mix between preview and export, a track volume slider, and an opt-in usage statistics choice.
- Pro now has monthly ($2) and yearly ($10) plans, and the lifetime license is $30. Time-limited plans end on their own and never renew automatically.
- Imported media is no longer stored in your browser, so after a reload you upload the video or audio again; your project and lyrics still come back on their own.
- The desktop app restores your Pro license automatically when it opens, when its window regains focus, and when a plan expires, so a renewal bought on the web applies without pressing “Restore license”.
- Android exports standard LRC and LRC+ subtitles that match the web editor.
- Android has a Feedback dialog in the app menu.
- Android shows a New project button in the top bar.
- The Android lyrics editor has an auto-split button for long lines.
- Android overlays sync words on the preview, and its tap zone only records timing.
- Android adds a Settings sheet with theme, session restore, and reset.
- Android 0.1.1 is open for closed testing, and a new blog guide explains how to join.
v1.6.3
October 16, 2026
- Thai, Lao, Khmer, Myanmar, and Tibetan lyrics are now split into words automatically, so each word gets its own sync block.
- Download lyrics as standard LRC, which most music players support; word-synced Enhanced LRC is still available as LRC+.
- The editor is easier to use on phones: the header fits on one row of icons, the timeline is more compact, and the tabs are ordered Lyrics, Preview, Style.
- Drag syllable blocks and lyric rows by touch, and sync on phones and tablets with a sync display sized for small screens.
- Multiple audio tracks now stay exactly in sync after seeking during playback.
- Audio files saved with a video extension (like .mpeg) now import as audio, and files the browser cannot play are rejected with a clear message.

v1.6.2
October 15, 2026

- Tune transparent video export on desktop with Quality, Encoder, and CPU usage options for a faster export on your machine.

v1.6.0
October 9, 2026
- Assign actors to lyric lines: built-in Male, Female, and Duet actors plus your own custom ones, each with its own colors that carry through the preview, video exports, and project files.
- Show an actor label before a lyric line, using custom text or a built-in singer icon, so viewers know who sings next.
- Countdowns now take the color of the actor about to sing, use outlined numbers, and can be turned on or off for any line; each line gets its own countdown that appears together with its lyric.
- Right-click a line in the lyrics list or on the timeline to edit it, start a new verse, toggle its countdown or actor label, or delete its timing.
- Double-click a syllable block on the timeline to edit the whole lyric line while keeping the timing of unchanged words.
- Your style settings are now remembered across sessions and reused for new projects.
- Blank lines in your lyrics no longer create verse breaks automatically; mark where a new verse starts from the right-click menu instead.

- Video export now works on more browsers thanks to an H.264 profile fallback, and the editor no longer crashes when browser auto-translate is on or when working with very large lyric files.

- Enjoy consistent lyric visibility across every display mode, including countdown entry, verse and song boundaries, and a shared three-second post-roll in both preview and exported video.
